After twenty years of international competitions, the three-time ice climbing world champion Angelika Rainer is at a crossroads in her career. This biopic documentary follows Angelika on a journey of self-discovery. Just a few decades ago – and as her grandmother and mother testify – going to university or going hiking were reserved for men only. Angelika, in contrast, grew up believing that she could achieve her dreams, challenging the laws of gravity on the walls of her upside down world. But now, having won everything she could win, Angelika feels that she has reached a turning point in her career. Together with Marco, her partner and coach, she embarks on a gruelling training plan for one of the most difficult hiking routes anyone could attempt: the Ironman. On her journey of self-discovery, Angelika meets other women from countries like Iceland, Greece and Switzerland. While facing new personal and professional challenges, she reflects on what it means today to be a free woman.
